But the Lord is trustworthy—and He will strengthen and protect you from the evil one. 2 Thessalonians 3:3, TLV
It’s Not About Us? Most of you know that one of my favorite Hebrew words is CHAZAK! Be strong! Have Courage! There are over 100 Bible verses urging us to be strong! What if we don’t feel strong?
When our Heavenly Father exhorts us to be strong — to have courage — it is because He knows who He is, not how great we are—or are not.
He knows we are dust (Psalm 103:14), but we are His children — thanks to the sacrifice of His Son Jesus.
The evil one was ultimately defeated when Yeshua cried out, “It is finished!” And when He rose from the dead, to walk and eat and give His final instructions to His disciples.
When Jesus went home to His Father, the Holy Spirit was given to us. We always carry part of Him with us. We have access to Him at all times.
But He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly in my weaknesses, so that the power of Messiah may dwell in me. (2 Corinthians 12:9, TLV)
Our weakness is where He will show Himself strong.
Fear not. CHAZAK! Our God is trustworthy and faithful, even when we are weak.
