The Name of ADONAI [the LORD] is a strong tower.
The righteous one runs into it and is set safely up high. Proverbs 18:10, TLV
Run! Don’t Walk! We have a choice to run to the LORD at the first sight or sign of danger, fear, anger, need, want, loneliness, longing, temptation, desire, destruction — well, you get the idea.
We can call on Him or try to figure it out on our own. I probably should mention that calling on Him can be as simple as asking for His wisdom in a situation. Or comfort and strength.
I love this translation of the verse in Proverbs, especially: “The righteous one runs into it and is set safely up high.”
When we seek our Heavenly Father first — run to Him — we immediately change our perspective. Rather than focusing on the issues, our seeking Him elevates our view of the situation.
The world always looks different from a higher perspective, most certainly our Creator’s perspective.
So, when we encounter a problem or challenge, run — don’t walk — to our Father who is in heaven.
