Zeal without knowledge is not good, or to act hastily and miss the way. Proverbs 19:2, TLV

Dreamers and Cheerleaders.     Another chapter full of wonderful insights. Families, justice, prudence (love that word!), integrity, and loyalty. It also gives us insights into our Heavenly Father’s heart concerning the poor and wealthy, because sometimes our perception is off-center to His way of seeing things.

But today, verse 2 really struck me. It’s about the pros and cons of zeal.

Spiritual Cheerleaders

Don’t we love an enthusiastic person? They are the spiritual cheerleaders of the Body of Messiah. They can see the dream and its potential and oh, how it excites them.

That zeal can motivate us to persevere on a tough project or push us to begin one.

The downside of a zealous person is they don’t always think things through. They can rush right by important decisions in the planning process or miss GOD’s direction altogether. Why? Because “Everything is awesome!”

Zealous folks can also expend so much energy being enthusiastic about a project that they run out of energy and struggle with follow-through.

Planners

We need dreamers and cheerleaders. They inspire and motivate us. But we also need the planners. The folks who take the time for knowledge.

Planners’ outward enthusiasm may be more subdued because they are in their heads building. Trying to determine if the idea is feasible. They can see the steps to making the dream a reality and have the understanding to see a project through, well.

These folks can help dreamers accomplish impressive goals. Dreamers and cheerleaders keep planners motivated and focused on the vision for the project. Both are so important.

Which are you?

Whoever we are, together, we can learn from each other and do great exploits for the Kingdom.

Think More About It

Are you the dreamer or the planner? Or perhaps a little of both? Love for you to share a story of when you worked together.

If this blog is a blessing, please share. Thank you!

Until tomorrow, may we dream and do, together, my friends. Thank you for your continued prayers for Israel. God bless you!
