All of them are straightforward to the discerning, and right to those who find knowledge. Proverbs 8:9, TLV
Straightforward Answers? Prior to earnestly seeking God’s wisdom, I had a lot of unanswered questions. Honestly, we will always have questions that we can’t answer. Whether the worldly or spiritual type, our finite brains will struggle with these.
But I’m talking about the answerable questions. Should I do this? What decision is the most wise and prudent? Those were questions I should have been able to answer, but I couldn’t.
Fortunately, there were people in my life who were wise. The answers to my questions seemed so straightforward to them. They were discerning and able to spot patterns in situations where I only saw chaos.
I wanted to be able to do that. Badly.
But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all without hesitation and without reproach; and it will be given to him. James 1:5, TLV
Today’s proverb reminds me of the real and exciting journey of wisdom. For me, it was life changing. And it continues today after over 20 years.
New revelations and understanding. Less drama. More prudent decisions that have already reaped blessings over the years. All these things that make an abundant life for the followers of Yeshua and children of the Most High God. Not too shabby, right?
Think More About It
Are you still looking for answers to upcoming decisions? Have you sought wisdom through Proverbs? Through mature trusted friends?
Until tomorrow, may our wisdom journey reap blessings, my friends.
Restore us from captivity, ADONAI [LORD],
like streams in the Negev.
Those who sow in tears
will reap with a song of joy.
Whoever keeps going out weeping,
carrying his bag of seed,
will surely come back with a song of joy,
carrying his sheaves. Psalm 126:4-6, TLV
What has been sown in tears, we pray that the harvest will be joyfully plentiful. God bless you!
