Strike a scoffer and the naïve will learn caution. Rebuke a discerning person and he will gain knowledge. Proverbs 19:25, TLV

How Do We Gain Knowledge?     For one who seeks after knowledge, everything around them is a classroom. They have a driving urge to learn. For those redeemed by the LORD, that motivation is driven by the need to understand Him better, and to understand ourselves—and perhaps those around us.

We can see His Hand in both the profound and mundane. This is because we recognize our Heavenly Father’s sovereignty. His plan brings all this knowledge together for His purposes.

The plan of the fullness of times is to bring all things together in the Messiah—both things in heaven and things on earth, all in Him. Ephesians 1:10, TLV

Because of this, we learn more of His character in either the compliments or rebukes.

Momentous events in our lives — the good and bad — become libraries of knowledge to explore with Him. We’re able to discern His goodness, even in the challenges of our life. And that’s a good thing.

Think More About It

How do you gain knowledge? In the practical? In the spiritual?

Until tomorrow, may we see the wealth of knowledge around us, my friends.

Even before a word is on my tongue,
behold, ADONAI [LORD], You know all about it.
You hemmed me in behind and before,
and laid Your hand upon me.
Such knowledge is too wonderful for me,
too lofty for me to attain. Psalm 139:4-6, TLV

Do you struggle to know what to pray for Israel? The Jewish people? This passage comforts me to know that those unformed emotional thoughts can have clarity because He has His hand upon us and His people. Offer up those discombobulated thoughts and know He knows. God bless you and Shabbat Shalom!
