Do not move an ancient boundary stone, or encroach on fields of the fatherless, for their redeemer is strong. He will plead their case against you. Proverbs 23:10-11, TLV
What if We Pushed Back? Why do people steal from the weak or vulnerable? Because they can. It’s not fair. It’s reprehensible. Yet, it happens to children and adults all the time.
Just a few days ago, my 88-year-old mom received a scam phone call that had her jumping through all sorts of security measures with her bank. In schools everywhere Biblical boundary lines are violated and children are robbed of their innocence.
But what if these souls knew that GOD Himself — the Creator of the Universe — would judge them? And He sometimes does in strategic ways. Still, I wish that our Heavenly Father would have a quiver of lightning bolts that He sent sailing when these things happen. Not at people—maybe just in front of them. Alas, that’s not how He set things up.
Will He judge them eventually if they—or we—don’t change? You bet. But, what about in the meantime? Why doesn’t He also act on behalf of those who are vulnerable?
We’re Here, Too
I wish I knew. But, one thing I do know, He placed us in this world, too. And we are to be aware of what happens to the innocent and to our brothers and sisters in Messiah.
So, what if those oppressors knew we looked out for the weak? We were watching and would “push” back?
What if we stood together in faith and action against those who attack the vulnerable. Who tried to move the ancient boundary lines? What would that look like, my friends?
What if we pushed back in wisdom, faith, and boldness? That would be something to see.
I love this song. It’s a great reminder of our responsibility. Just know that God will show us how and when we can help.

Think More About It
How do you “push back” against those who attack the vulnerable?
Until tomorrow, may we push back wisely, my friends.
““When did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?’ And answering, the King will say to them, ‘Amen, I tell you, whatever you did to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.’” Matthew 25:39-40, TLV
Here is a beautiful example of “pushing back”. As we pray today for Israel, may we also pray that our Father will show us how to do for Yeshua’s brethren—and sister-en. God bless you.
