Daily Word: Wait for it… Psalm 27:14, TLV

Wait for ADONAI [the LORD].
Be strong, let Your heart take courage,
and wait for ADONAI. Psalm 27:14, TLV

Wait for It…      Sometimes the most difficult thing we can do in our faith journey is to wait. Waiting requires faith — real, walk-it-out faith. Not just lip service, or formula faith — “if I do this, then God will do this” — but real Thy-Will-Be-Done Faith.

Getting to that place isn’t easy, because it isn’t a place where we can open a door, go in, and sit for the rest of our life. This type of faith is fluid and matures as we and our circumstances change. With each trial and tribulation, we test to see if we’re in that place by releasing our expectations and surrendering our will to His. Then, we wait.

While we wait…

In that waiting place, we meditate on His goodness and mercy. We worship and praise and remember all our Father has done for us in the past. That should keep us busy and keep us strong.

Think More About It

What does your “waiting place” look like?

May our waiting place be a place of peace.

Prayer Prompt for Israel

I ponder the days of old,
the years long ago.
In the night I remember my song.
I meditate with my heart
and my spirit is searching. Psalm 77:6-7, TLV

Sometimes, Father, when we rest or sleep our spirit searches. Help us to remember Your goodness and mercy. May we meditate on Your exploits on behalf of Israel—may we remember. In Yeshua’s Name.
