Today’s Blog: Draw closer or . . . ?
TODAY’S PROVERB: He guards the paths of justice, and protects the way of His kedoshim. [His saints — us.] Proverbs 2:8, TLV
Our journey is fraught with challenges — some of our making, others intended to harm us. We will either draw closer to our Heavenly Father, or question Him and His goodness. We can choose His path or our own.
When bad things happen to me, unfortunately, my default reaction is to question GOD’s love for me. I mean, in the trillions of details He oversees, how easy would it be to overlook little old me?
When that happens, it’s my responsibility to intentionally pause and remember. Remember all that He has done for me. Remember His Word. Remember that He has already seen this moment in time and has already seen the outcome.
And, when I do that, it puts me in a place of gratitude — and that’s a good place to be.
Life is messy and out of our control. But our Father does indeed guard the paths of justice and protects the way of His saints — His kids.
If we’re in the midst of a trial, it’s important to remember that victory comes after the battle — not before the fight. And, miracles wrought in the midst of bitter battle are the sweetest.
May we abide in that truth, my friends.
