Author’s Journey: How Were You Brave This Week?

Bravery Looks Different to Everyone

For God has not given us a spirit of timidity but of power and love and self-discipline. 2 Timothy 1:7, TLV

How were you brave this past week? Bravery can look like different things to different people. What frightens me, may not frighten you. And the other way around.

What did you do this past week that took courage?

My feat of bravery was to write an email. It wasn’t so much the email that intimidated me as it was the possible response. But I needed to know the answer to a question — I needed the truth.

That email opened the door to other emails and other possibilities I didn’t think existed. Time will tell. Nevertheless, had I not sent the email, I might never have known.

Perhaps your act of bravery was sending an email. Or writing that first chapter, hitting send for that query, or just getting out of bed and trying.

Whatever you did, celebrate it. Call a friend and share the good news. Post an “I Did It!” or tweet #IDidIt. Do something else that marks the moment or day or courageous thing.

Share your moment. Let others know an act of bravery can change our future.
