Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For everything in the world—the desire of the flesh, the desire of the eyes, and the boasting of life—is not from the Father but from the world. 1 John 2:15-16, TLV

God created a beautiful world. Humanity corrupted it. We can admire and respect and build upon God’s creation, but to hold it in higher regard than Him is wrong.

Likewise, our attempts at creating our own world have produced an ugliness never meant for us or our children to live in.

When we love God and love each other, we see the world differently. We respect it as stewards and leave it better for those who follow.

We don’t grab, we hold lightly because we know our true home is even more grand and beautiful than this one. Our true home has our heart and love — our Father and His Son.

What awaits us, my friends is beyond our understanding.
