. . . and said, “Amen, I tell you, unless you turn and become like children, you shall never enter the kingdom of heaven. Whoever then shall humble himself like this child, this one is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. And whoever welcomes one such child in My name, welcomes Me.  Matthew 18:3-5, TLV

Childlike Faith.  Have you ever watched a toddler exploring a beach or pool or even the backyard for the first time? Before the dangers, before the things that have tainted our understanding? It’s beautiful. I think that’s what our Heavenly Father sees us as, toddlers or young children being in awe of creation and knowing that when then need a cuddle, Daddy will be right there. Not completely self-sufficient, more like a soul walking in faith.

You know who had a childlike faith? Jesus. He was always in awe of His Father. Still is. Yeshua loves His Father so much that He would do anything for Him, including sacrificing His life.

Yeshua is a great example of a childlike-faith in an adult form. He wasn’t whiny or demanding or someone who took advantage of His authority, but used His authority for His father’s glory.

All children — from newborn to 1,000 — are precious to the Father. How we treat others is a reflection of our heart. Understanding our Father’s heart and understanding how to live as His child is our lifelong pursuit. But, every once in a while let’s just be in awe.
