You are my hiding place and my shield—in Your word I hope. Psalm 119:114, TLV
Psalm 119 is one of my favorite psalms. With 176 verses, there is something for everyone — for every situation. Familiar verses like: Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path. (Psalm 119:105). In today’s verse, the writer affirms his trust in LORD — and in His word. God’s word are promises. His word speaks of His faithfulness, even when we aren’t. There’s power in His word. Enemies flee at His word. Is it any wonder, that we see Him as our hiding place and shield? I hope so.
