A wise person scales the city of warriors and brings down the stronghold in which they trust. Proverbs 21:22, TLV

Are You Up Against a “City of Warriors?”     Today’s proverb today reminds me of those miraculous stories in the Bible. You know the ones I’m talking about. Where the underdog triumphs over the seemingly unconquerable army.

A tiny nation, oppressed by a powerful country, is suddenly free. Little David and big Goliath. A fortress conquered by praise. An army conquered by praise. The list goes on.

The fear of ADONAI [the LORD] is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and discipline. Proverbs 1:7, TLV

We know that wisdom begins with faith in the GOD of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and His Son, Jesus. That faith can move mountains (Matthew 17:20). Not by might or power, but by His Spirit (Zechariah 4:6). The impossible is only possible with the Creator of the Universe — our Dad (Mark 10:27).

As His children, we call on Him when there is a “city of warriors” before us. He may give us intel about the reality of what we face. It is not to discourage us, but to show us that we can’t do it on our own. It is He who brings down the stronghold. Whatever that stronghold is.

Are you going through a battle? Is there a city of warriors before you? Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and lean not on your understanding of the realities around you, but in who He is. (Proverbs 3: 5-6) For the more we know of the impossibility, the greater the miracle and our praise and gratitude.

Think More About It

Have you stories about “cities of warriors” that have been defeated. Sometimes those battles are within us. How were you victorious?

Until tomorrow, may you be wise. Trust Him for the outcome of victory.

Thank you for your continued prayers for Israel. Shabbat Shalom and God bless you!
