The tongue of the righteous is choice silver. The heart of the wicked is of little value. Proverbs 10:20, TLV

Does Your Speech Hold Value?      Ah, yes, the tongue. There are over 140 Biblical references concerning the tongue. Most unfortunately are cautionary. Why?

The tongue is capable of such amazing things.

“ADONAI Elohim [the LORD God] has given Me the tongue of the learned, that I may know how to sustain the weary with a word. He awakens Me morning by morning. He awakens My ear to give heed as a disciple.” Isaiah 50:4, TLV

The tongue is capable of such harm:

“…For their tongue and their actions are against ADONAI, defying the eyes of His glory.” Isaiah 3:8, TLV

How do we use our tongue? Does our speech give value or does it rob?

We have the words of eternal life !

“For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16, TLV

We know the miraculous, healing power of words. Words of hope and reconciliation. So, it is our responsibility to measure our words against that value. Season those words with prudence and the precious attributes of the Holy Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23). Anything less holds little value.

Think More About It

What value are your words? How do you use them?

Until tomorrow–hopefully–may we speak with value, my friends.

Praying for Israel

They say: “With our tongue we’ll prevail.
We own our lips—who can master us?” Psalm 12:5, TLV

Who are the “they”? Those who seek to manipulate and promote lies. There’s been a lot of manipulation and falsehoods, especially against Israel and the followers of Yeshua (Jesus). As we pray today, we can voice to our Father the reality, but let’s also pray that His will be done. Yes? God bless you
