Now then, sons, listen to me, pay attention to the words of my mouth. Proverbs 7:24, TLV

Pay Attention!    Chapter seven of Proverbs’ story of seduction is an all too common one. It’s important to remember seduction comes in many forms. However, if we travel seduction’s path it always leads to the same destination — sin. The thing is, we don’t have to walk that path.

Sin separates us from our relationship with GOD. It lies to us to keep us away from Him and those we love. It doesn’t want us to pay attention to GOD’s voice of love and reason.

How is it that seduction is so successful when it does so much damage to us and those we love?

The truth is seduction can be avoided — if we pay attention to GOD’s words and counsel. When we keep our heart fixed on our Heavenly Father and His wisdom, and remember the cost of sin on His Son, we can make the difficult choice to turn away from seduction’s kisses and lies.

Just a “Pretty Dress”

Seduction is simply temptation in a “pretty dress.” We wouldn’t give into the temptation to rob a bank, so why do we give in to seduction? Because it appears more attractive?

A Worse Lie

There’s another lie that sin tries to deceive us with – we can’t be forgiven. Even if we’re never restored in our relationship with others because of what we’ve done, we can be restored in our relationship with our Heavenly Dad. When we listen to the words of His mouth, we can experience forgiveness.

Of course, it’s always better to have never gone through the ordeal, but we need to remember that our Father is always about redemption and resurrection and restoration. He wants to love us back to His arms.

Think More About It

How have you paid attention to the words of our Father’s mouth and kept from being seduced?

Thanks for stopping by, especially during the seduction chapters. It gets better. If this was a blessing, please share. It does help my ministry.

Until tomorrow, may we pay attention to the words of Heavenly Father, my friends, and be set free. Please keep up those prayers for Israel and the oppressed in Israel and Gaza. God bless you!
