Daily Word: Press On, My Friends.

In the path of righteousness is life—it is a path to immortality. Proverbs 12:28

Press On, My Friends.     Are you feeling a bit weary these days? I hope this proverb and devotion will be an appetizer of comfort. After that, let our Heavenly Father feed you a delicious gourmet meal of hope and joy.

Over fifty years ago, I was blessed to have my father walk me down the aisle to my future husband. Not every bride has that blessing, but my friends, we have the most beautiful blessing waiting for us.

Our path is a righteous one — an eternal one. It is the bridal path that leads to our Bridegroom. Walking us to our Bridegroom is our Heavenly Father. Each day is another step toward that union.

Sometimes we struggle to take the next step. We may stumble and fall. We may doubt we’ll ever know such joy amid pain. But, know this, one day we will arrive and spend an eternity in incredible joy.

Until then, press on, my friends. The path is good and righteous and we walk it together.

Think More About It

Sometimes, I enjoy those “picture” meditations. Like the vision of a father walking a bride to their groom. How do you picture our great reunion? Does it comfort you?

Until tomorrow, may we walk together with our Father to that beautiful day, my friends.

Their voice has gone out to all the earth
and their words to the end of the world.
In the heavens He pitched a tent for the sun.
It is like a bridegroom coming out of his bridal chamber.
It is like a strong man rejoicing to run his course.
It rises at one end of the heavens
and makes its circuit to the other end.
Nothing is hidden from its heat. Psalm 19:5-7, TLV

Let truth reign—our LORD reigns. There are days when I need reminding of the awesomeness of our God, how about you? As we pray these words together, let us rejoice and press on. Amen? God bless you.
