Like cold water to a weary soul
is good news from a distant land. Proverbs 12:25, TLV

We’ve all felt it, that first sip of just-the-right-coolness water on a parched throat. That “ahhhh!” and gratitude for the miracle of water. Is it any wonder that water plays such an important role throughout Scriptures? Yeshua referred to Himself as Living Water (John 7:38). Prophetic wonders come about with water (Isaiah 44:3; Isaiah 55:1; Ezekiel 47; Zechariah 14:8). Preparations for sacrifices used water (Exodus 30:20; Leviticus 1:9,13; 16:24).

But, the “good news” for us, the wonder that quenches the longing in our hearts, is:

“For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16, TLV

That’s our first sip. From there, everything is so fulfilling and satisfying, we’ll be partaking until we see our Father and His Son, face-to-face.

Shabbat shalom.
