Remember when Jesus taught us how to pray? Part of that prayer was to ask our Heavenly Father to deliver us from evil — from the evil one. (Matthew 6:13) So, this is a very real threat. Do we have any doubts that there are evil forces at work these days?

Not fearing evil has nothing to do with our own strength and everything to do with His.

If He allows us to travel the valley of the shadow of death, then we know our strength and courage come from our relationship with the Creator of the Universe. He walks beside us, in front of us — all around us.

He is with us no matter what.
