Wait for Adonai.
Be strong, let Your heart take courage,
and wait for Adonai. Psalm 27:14, TLV

Sometimes the most difficult thing we can do in our faith journey is to wait. Waiting requires faith — real faith. Not just lip service, or formula faith — if I do this, then God does this — but, real Thy-Will-Be-Done Faith.

Getting to that place isn’t easy, because it isn’t a place where we can open a door, go in and sit for the rest of our life. This type of faith is fluid and matures as we and our circumstances change. With each trial and tribulation, we test to see if we’re in that place by releasing our expectations and surrendering our will to His. Then, we wait.

While we wait . . .

In that waiting place, we meditate on His goodness and mercy. We worship and praise and remember all our Father has done for us in the past. That should keep us busy, and keep us strong.

The word I chose for 2021 was Chazak! Which is a Hebrew declaration: Be strong! Whatever we are waiting for, especially in 2021, Chazak! Chazak, my friends!
