I will say of Adonai, “He is my refuge and my fortress,
my God, in whom I trust.” Psalm 91:2, TLV
There may come a day when saying that the LORD is our refuge and strength and that He is trustworthy will cause others to ridicule us. Will He be enough?
Our faith may fly in the face of what seems obvious to the world. Be laughable. But even in this, He is our refuge and strength. Even when the world turns against us we can depend on our Heavenly Father because of the sacrifice of His Son.
He is enough . . .
As the Passover season approaches, I am reminded of the song Dayenu — which means “It Would Have Been Enough.” Dayenu is a song of gratitude that is over a thousand years old. The lyrics recounts the wonders God has done and says it would have been enough, yet He does more.
It was enough that He sent His Son to die for us. It should be enough. Because He is enough.
