Daily Word: Romans 3:23-24

… or all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. They are set right as a gift of His grace, through the redemption that is in Messiah Yeshua. Romans 3:23-24, TLV

Yep. We are all sinners. Each and every one. We’re born into a fallen world, and it doesn’t take long before we join the ranks of violators of GOD’s Law. Cheerful thought, isn’t it?

Along comes our Savior, on a white steed — Oh, wait, that doesn’t happen until His return. Instead, along comes a tiny baby, vulnerable, human, messy. He left perfection to be born into a fallen world. Suffer the indignities of birth, childhood, puberty, and those who thought He was meshuga (Yiddish and Hebrew for crazy).

Then, when it was time for Yeshua to fulfill the Law and Prophets, He was tortured and put to death in one of the most painful, dehumanizing acts in the world. Because of love and grace.

God set forth Yeshua as an atonement, through faith in His blood, to show His righteousness in passing over sins already committed. (vs. 25)

He atoned for our sins. Our sins are covered by His blood (Hebrews 9). Like Passover, His blood covers the doorposts of our heart so that the penalty for violating the Torah–death–was passed over (Exodus 12). As redeemed children of the Most High, we wear Yeshua’s robe of righteousness.

I will rejoice greatly in Adonai. My soul will be joyful in my God. For He has clothed me with garments of salvation, He has wrapped me in a robe of righteousness— like a bridegroom wearing a priestly turban, like a bride adorning herself with her jewels. Isaiah 61:10, TLV

I could go on and on, but I think it is time to “drop the mic.” God bless you!
