Seek ADONAI [the LORD] and His strength.
Seek His face always. 1 Chronicles 16:11, TLV

Seek His Face!      Shabbat Shalom!     Today we step into an exciting scene. At last, the Ark of the Covenant is back under the sovereignty of the King of Israel — the former shepherd boy, David ben Jesse.

From the time of his youth, David was a worshipper. As he stood guard over his father’s flocks, under the great expanse of His Heavenly Father’s sky, he sought the LORD’s strength. He sought the face of ADONAI.

Imagine the celebration — and trepidation after the whole Uzzah situation (2 Samuel 6:6-8) — as they carried The Ark of the Covenant into the City of David. Music, dancing, praise! The Ark was home, in its new Tabernacle, in the city that would be known as Jerusalem. Jerusalem, the place where God had placed His Name forever (2 Chronicles 6:6; 2 Chronicles 7:16).

Our Tabernacle

While God has promises that His Name would forever reside in Jerusalem — with or without the Ark — the Tabernacle now resides in each of the Father’s redeemed children.

. . . For we are the temple of the living God—just as God said,
“I will dwell in them and walk among them;
and I will be their God,
and they shall be My people.” (2 Corinthians 6:16, TLV)

Today, we can seek the face of the LORD anytime. We can seek His strength whenever we need it. Because He dwells in us! That means, my dear friends, we are never alone. No matter where we are, what may befall us, He is with us.

And we dwell in unity with other redeemed children, how beautiful! (Psalm 133:1, “Hinei Ma Tov”) There the LORD will be in the midst of us.

Think More About It

How do you dwell in unity?

May seek His Face and dwell in unity, my friends.

Praying for Israel—Prayer Prompts

A Song of Ascents. Of David.
Behold, how good and how pleasant it is
for brothers to dwell together in unity!
It is like the precious oil upon the head,
coming down upon the beard—Aaron’s beard—
coming down on the collar of his robes.
It is like the dew of Hermon,
coming down upon the mountains of Zion.
For there ADONAI commanded the blessing
—life forevermore! Psalm 133:1-3, TLV

As we unite in prayer for Israel, please remember our brothers and sisters in Messiah. Shabbat Shalom and God bless!

I found this little treasure. It captures some of the joy. Hope you are blessed.
