He who dwells in the shelter of Elyon [God Most High], will abide in the shadow of Shaddai [the Almighty]. I will say of ADONAI [the LORD], “He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.” Psalm 91:1-2, TLV
What is Your Abiding Story? Elyon—God Most High. Our Heavenly Father is our place of refuge. Does that mean bad things won’t happen to us? No, bad things do happen. We live in a corrupt world. But anything that happens to us was foreseen by our Father and has a purpose and place in all His plans. Even the most difficult and unthinkable.
Our bodies made be subject to trials and tribulations, but our souls and our spirits can rest and trust in Him. Abide in Him.
Each of us has stories of the LORD’s rescue in our life. Whether it’s our redemption story or a story of how He saved us from danger or death. These stories are powerful testimonies that we can share with other to demonstrate how God cares for each of us—even in the most horrible of circumstances. Stories have impact, don’t they?
In the past, I’ve shared about being held up by a young man with a gun. Or how several family members and I almost drowned. The car accident that could have been so much worse. Each divine intervention was different, but every story had lessons of His love and how to trust Him.
What is your story? What did you learn? How did you abide in Him?
