The reward of humility and fear of ADONAI is riches, honor, and life. Proverbs 22:4, TLV

What Lenses are You Wearing?   I was thinking, there truly is a great reward in seeing life through the lenses of humility and the fear of the LORD. Living a life where we understand how great our Heavenly Father is, and how every blessing comes from Him, allows us to walk this life in pure gratitude and wonder.

The combination of humility and a holy fear builds our faith and trust. Why? Because we know that we can’t pull ourselves out of anything on our own. We can’t redeem ourselves.

The talents and abilities we have, were hardwired into us at conception — and add to that, He planned it from the beginning.

Wearing the lenses of humility and holy fear means we rest in a place of understanding and peace. Entitlement would seem foreign to us.

When a dear friend of mine was diagnosed with cancer, she said people asked her if she questioned GOD why she had this horrible disease. Her response, “Why not me? We’re in a fallen world. But I know whether I live or die, I win.”

Let that one sink in.

Our ability to walk in wonder in a fallen, broken world will seem like naivety to others. I say, “Who cares!” We’re just glad to be alive and loved by the Creator of the Universe!

Look Around

All around us souls are hungry for this type of joy and peace. We can “feed” them with the revelation of our amazing Father and His love. Our sacrificing Savior who gave everything for us. Our Counselor guides and directs us.

We can show them the way because we see it and live it.

May we wear the lenses hand-fashioned for us by our Father, my friends.
