Today’s Blog: Remember

TODAY’S PROVERB: Be sure, the evil will not go unpunished, but the offspring of the righteous will be delivered. Proverbs 11:21, TLV

Eighteen years ago our world altered to a new reality. A few men murdered nearly 3,000 of our citizens, and changed our perception of peace and security.

Yet, there were shining moments of heroism in the midst of hatred and destruction. Those first responders who arrived on the scene in minutes. Men and women who risked their lives to save others. The memories of watching as others ran away and these heroes rushed in. The souls who gave the ultimate sacrifice to rescue others.

As we remember that horrific day, let us also pray for those heroes still with us that suffer from the aftereffects of their efforts. The families who still grieve the loss of husbands, wives, fathers, daughters, brothers, sisters, loves ones, and friends.

If you know any of these folks, send them a card. Take them out for coffee. Bring them a special treat. Just to remind them, we’re remembering with them.

May we remember with prayer and action, my friends.
