What “grain” are we withholding?

Today’s Proverb: People curse anyone withholding grain, but blessing is on the head of one who dispenses it.

Proverbs 11:26, Tree of Life Version (TLV)

I wondered today, what does grain represent in our life — within this context? Is it about food? To some degree, I suppose.

But, maybe it’s simply what we “produce.” We produce time, compassion, conversation, love.

What might we be withholding today? Compassion for family or friends. A phone call. A prayer. A ride to the grocery store.

Let’s ask our Father what we might be able to dispense today. And know this, He’ll enable us to do it — if we’re willing.

May we dispense the “grain” our Father shows us, my friends.
