Today’s Blog: How do we escape?

TODAY’S PROVERB: An evil one is ensnared by the sin of lips, but the righteous one escapes trouble. Proverbs 12:13, TLV

Have you ever had a conversation with someone that when you walked away, you felt like you were slimed? At first, it may have been difficult to figure out why. But then, over time you began discerning that what they were saying just wasn’t kosher. Then we may wonder: why did I even allow that person to speak into my life?

Are you about to be slimed?

How do we develop those discernment muscles to keep from being slimed? By knowing the Voice of our Heavenly Father and His Shepherd.

“I am the Good Shepherd. I know My own and My own know Me, just as the Father knows Me and I know the Father. And I lay down My life for the sheep. I have other sheep that are not from this fold [THAT’S US!]; those also I must lead, and they will listen to My voice. So there shall be one flock, one Shepherd.”

YESHUA (JESUS), JOHN 10:14-16, TLV

Those folks with clever ways of covering sin with words and promises will not be able to lead us away. Why? Because we know His Voice. Counterfeit voices will sound strange, slimey.

We can escape the plans and schemes of the noisy evil one, my friends. Just listen for our Father’s still, small Voice (1 Kings 19:12).

May we hear His still, small Voice, my friends.
