Wisdom’s Journey: Proverbs 15:22

Terri GillespieWisdom’s Journey Through Proverbs

Treasure those advisers . . .

TODAY’S PROVERB: Plans fail when there is no counsel, but with many advisers they succeed. Proverbs 15:22, TLV

Do you have wise counsels in your life? People you seek out for advice when those big decisions or questions loom before you? Then treasure them. Take them out to lunch or for coffee. Show them you appreciate their time, their investment in you, their investment in their own wisdom and faith journey that you benefit from.

. . . or tea.

If you don’t, pray that our Heavenly Father would reveal those wise souls. He’s appointed people to be part of our circle of friends. Then there are the inner circle of folks whom we trust. Fill that circle with those of moral character, integrity, and honesty. You will know them by their fruit.

Whether these amazing people are long-term relationships or only for a season, they are appointed brothers and sisters who will be His hands and heart.

As we continue to walk this wisdom’s journey, know that GOD’s Holy Spirit may lead us to be an adviser and counselor to others. As our fruit becomes more obvious, others will notice. They may come to us for counsel and advice. And, what an honor that would be. Just remember to pray for guidance and listen.

May we accept and give GOD’s wise counsel, my friends.
