Today’s Blog: Our kingdom?

TODAY’S PROVERB: Wrongdoing is an abomination to kings; for a throne is established by righteousness. Proverbs 16:12, TLV

Are you a king — or queen? You kind of are. Each of us has a “kingdom” where we rule. Whether it’s our dorm room, a major corporation, or our family, we want to establish it with righteousness.

After our relationship with our Heavenly Father, and accepting the blood atonement hard fought by Jesus, walking out our righteousness is all about integrity.

Integrity is more than the practice of being honest. It is also showing uncompromising adherence to Biblical principles. Because consistently walking in moral uprightness creates stability in any environment.

…consistently walking in moral uprightness creates stability …

Leaders should strive to have as their core value system. an adherence to Biblical principles. They should also strive to surround themselves with people of the same moral caliber. Trustworthy people.

However, if a leader compromises their own integrity, that leader creates an unholy environment around them. The home, office, and all relationships become unstable and unhealthy.

If we are a leader, we should strive for that integrity. Those we invite into our “inner circle” of relationships, should also walk with honor and honesty.

Whether we’re a “king” or not, we should treat wrongdoing as an abomination. And instead, establish our “kingdom” in righteousness.

May we hold ourselves to a higher calling of integrity, my friends.
