Wisdom’s Journey: Proverbs 17:2

Terri GillespieWisdom’s Journey Through Proverbs

Are you a wise servant?

TODAY’S PROVERB: A wise servant will rule over a disgraceful son and will share the inheritance with the brothers. Proverbs 17:2, TLV

We’ve seen them. They’re generally in the background. They work hard, mostly unseen. Leaders go to them for counsel. They are trusted, because they are wise. And, they do all these things because God has called them to — not for the fame or recognition.

There are those who stand before hundreds, thousands, maybe more — and there are those like Aaron and Hur (Exodus 17:8-12) who lift up the arms of the weary leaders. Who counsel them as the prophets of old.

Who are you?

If you have been positioned in the place of a trusted adviser, do it well. If you are a leader, find those wise servants and cherish them. Together, we can do great exploits for our Heavenly Father in His Kingdom.

For in the end, we are all His servants.

“Happy are those slaves whose master finds them alert when he comes. Amen, I tell you, he will prepare himself and have them recline at table, and will come and serve them.”

JESUS, LUKE 12:36, TLV

May we rise up and be who our Father called us to be, my friends.
