Wisdom’s Journey: Proverbs 19:25

Terri GillespieWisdom’s Journey Through Proverbs

How do we gain knowledge?

TODAY’S PROVERB: Strike a scoffer and the naïve will learn caution. Rebuke a discerning person and he will gain knowledge. Proverbs 19:25, TLV

For one who seeks after knowledge, everything around them is a classroom. They have a driving urge to learn. For those redeemed by the LORD, that motivation is driven by the need to understand Him better, and to understand ourselves. We can see His Hand in both the profound and mundane. This is because we recognize our Heavenly Father’s sovereignty. His plan brings all this knowledge together for His purposes.

The plan of the fullness of times is to bring all things together in the Messiah—both things in heaven and things on earth, all in Him.

EPHESIANS 1:10, TREE OF LIFE VERSION (TLV)

Because of this, we learn more of His character in either the compliments or rebukes.

Momentous events in our lives — the good and bad — become libraries of knowledge to explore with Him. We’re able to discern His goodness, even in the challenges of our life. And that’s a good thing.

May we see the wealth of knowledge around us, my friends.
