Wisdom’s Journey: Proverbs 20:13

Today’s Blog: Wake up!

TODAY’S PROVERB: Do not love sleep, lest you become poor. Open your eyes, and you will be satisfied with food. Proverbs 20:13, TLV

Have you ever had seasons of healing and recuperation where you’ve been confined to bed? Then you know the frustration of being kept from the responsibilities and joy of life.

It should be noted that those seasons can be a blessing and a time of faith-building, but they’re meant to be temporary.

Imagine choosing to remain in bed. Imagine allowing sleep to devour your day.

If we feel the draw of sleep and it has begun to consume more of our day, then it’s time to seek the LORD and wise counsel as to the root. Whether that root is spiritual or physical — or both — we are not alone in our efforts to be healed and set free.

“Arise, shine, for your light has come! The glory of Adonai has risen on you.”

ISAIAH 60:1, TLV

May we live our days abundantly, wide awake, my friends.
