Wisdom’s Journey: Proverbs 2:3

Terri GillespieWisdom’s Journey Through Proverbs

Today’s Blog: Call out! Cry for it!

TODAY’S PROVERB: …yes, if you call out for insight, lifting up your voice for discernment… Proverbs 2:3, TLV

Have you ever called out for insight? Cried out for discernment? I sure did. With reading and math disabilities, I made a lot of mistakes because of a lack of knowledge and confidence. Even today, I still pray for wisdom and discernment when certain challenges arise.

What’s great about this type of request is that our Heavenly Father has only one answer . . . Yes!

“But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all without hesitation and without reproach; and it will be given to him.”

JACOB (JAMES), YESHUA’S HALF-BROTHER, JAMES 1:5, TLV

However, when I first began praying this prayer, and I still struggled with making wise decisions, I wondered what happened. Was I the only exception to the James verse?

Then, a wise pastor in Kent, Washington instructed us to read a chapter of Proverbs each day. For the rest of your life, if possible. Later, a Messianic rabbi said the same thing. So, I began the Wisdom Journey with intention. Not simply a study, but as a lifestyle. My husband joined the journey.

That’s when our life truly changed for the better.

Are you ready to join the Journey? We sure love the company.

May we call out for insight and discernment, my friends.
