Today’s Blog: As we gather . . .

TODAY’S PROVERB: For surely there is a future, and your hope will never be cut off. Proverbs 23:18, TLV

Soon many families will gather around a table filled with the bounty of love, gratitude, and delicious food. Yet, there are homes filled with a bounty of strife, longing, and lack.

Our hope is not measured in what we have or the people surrounding us, it resides in the Creator of the Universe who holds our future in His capable hands.

Today is today. Our hope in a future that is better is a good thing, for we have a good Father. But, it’s important to remember we take ownership of our own actions. To continue to strive to live His Word is part of our hope for a better future.

Yet, in our hoping and striving, remember to give thanks. Praise Him no matter the lack and strife, or bounty and peace. For He has given us an eternal future with Him. And that is a good thing.

May our future and hope be beautiful, my friends.
