Today’s Blog: Exhausted by fools?

TODAY’S PROVERB: A stone is heavy and sand a burden, but provocation by a fool is heavier than both. Proverbs 27:3, TLV

Ever wonder why provocation by someone who doesn’t know any better is more exhausting than someone with an evil intent? Because it takes more restraint to respond to someone who is foolish. It takes more effort to discern if this is a teaching moment for them, or if it is something to simply ignore.

This proverb reminds me that I was once a stone and sand to my Heavenly Father — certainly to my parents. My learning curve was long just to get to the path of wisdom. Even now I can be a stone and sand. Sigh.

A good reminder when a foolish soul does something foolish to us, yet again.

May we be patient with fools, because He was patient with us, my friends.
