Today’s Blog: Who’s Rising Up?

TODAY’S PROVERB: When the righteous triumph there is great glory, but when the wicked rise to power, people hide. Proverbs 28:12, TLV

There aren’t many examples of righteousness in the headlines and news shows, my friends. Especially with those in office. So, if we’re feeling some trepidation about the upcoming election or the New Year, it’s normal. But, we can’t stay in the place of fear — or worse, not get involved because our options aren’t perfect. We can’t hide.

“The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.”

EDMUND BURKE, POLITICAL THEORIST, BORN 1729, DIED 1797

We can’t do nothing, my friends. We need to engage in righteousness and that begins in prayer — not posting complaints. And, we need to be careful of judging other’s salvation if they disagree with us.

If we speak, let us speak truth in bold love.

As controversies continue, we all the more need wisdom, discernment, knowledge, and understanding. We need to rise up.

I leave us with this wonderful story about a bus driver who is making a difference in the lives of children. [Thanks to Carrie Turansky for sharing this heartwarming story.] https://www.facebook.com/CBSEveningNews/videos/471089596927545/UzpfSTEwMDAwNjQ4MDQyMjg1MjozMTI5MTk2MTM3MzA2Mzcw/?notif_id=1577500905424657&notif_t=notify_me

May we rise up in His righteousness, my friends.
