Today’s Blog: What is our wealth?

TODAY’S PROVERB: Honor ADONAI with your wealth and with the first of your entire harvest. Proverbs 3:9, TLV

Honoring the LORD can touch every part of our life — including our wealth. Giving the LORD the first of our entire harvest keeps us mindful that it is He that gives us what we have. Talents, favor, jobs, wealth, possessions, opportunities.

We honor the Giver of all good things — our Father — when we are grateful and generous. Our tithes and offerings are ways we can show that gratitude, but there’s more we can do. We can give of our hearts, our time. A listening ear. Running errands for someone in need. Visiting a friend in the hospital or prison.

Why are these important? Because they are important to our Heavenly Father.

“Then the King will say to those on His right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world. For I was hungry and you gave Me something to eat; I was thirsty and you gave Me something to drink; I was a stranger and you invited Me in; I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me.’

JESUS, MATTHEW 25:34-36, TLV

What we harvest in our a life can honor our Heavenly Father or ourselves. The sowing begins in gratitude. Gratitude then moves into action — not as a chore, or a To-Do List, but as the harvest of appreciation. This is what Yeshua spoke of in Matthew 25.

The Father has created us to give in love and joy because that is who He is. And when we actively do this, we do it as unto Jesus. How cool is that!

May we honor the LORD with our harvest, my friends.
