Today’s Blog: What do we treasure?

TODAY’S PROVERB: My son, keep my words
and treasure my mitzvot [commandments] within you. Proverbs 7:1, TLV

What do we treasure? What are the people and things we hold most dear? How do we treasure our relationship God? What does that look like?

I suppose there are billions and billions of words written about how to have a closer relationship with the Creator of the Universe. Books by people much smarter than me. But, I can say that treasuring God is a choice. It begins there.

We choose Him first. We show up to be in His presence. That means cherishing His word so that we can know Him better — to better know how to live a life that pleases Him. But, of all the things He wants from us, the greatest is our love — the evidence of that love is giving Him our time.

Our time with Him is the most precious treasure of our life. These moments change us. Empower us. Heal us. Prepare us. Strengthen us.

May we treasure what is most important to our Father, my friends.
