Wisdom’s Journey: Proverbs 7:6

Terri GillespieWisdom’s Journey Through Proverbs

What do you see?

TODAY’S PROVERB: For at the window of my house I looked out through my lattice. Proverbs 7:6, TLV

When we look out upon the behavior of the world does it draw us in or repel us? I suppose it depends on what we see. Heroism or hedonism? Love or hatred? Joy or sorrow? Freedom or bondage? Hope or despair? Sin or redemption.

Whether positive or negative, we can learn from whatever is going on around us — without experiencing it ourselves.

What do I mean by this? There are lessons all around us. We don’t have to steal to know it’s wrong and there will be repercussions. It’s possible to learn without experiencing the lesson.

But, if we have learned difficult lessons through actual experience, that experience and lesson learned can go a long way in helping others. Because that hard-learned lesson will help others out of their sin. To know redemption, forgiveness, and restoration.

Either way, our Heavenly Father can help us take the lesson and use it wisely.

May we see wisely, my friends.
