Wisdom’s Journey: Proverbs 8:7

Terri GillespieWisdom’s Journey Through Proverbs

Do we speak the Light of truth?

TODAY’S PROVERB: For my mouth speaks truth, and my lips detest wickedness. Proverbs 8:7, TLV

Wisdom knows when to speak. If wisdom only lives in our mind, then it’s not really wisdom — it’s just knowledge we acquired through study. When we truly understand wisdom, we live it.

As we live it, we can better discern when to speak and when to wait and when to say nothing. Whether to be bold or gentle. We can discern this because we’ve experienced various applications to this knowledge. Most likely through trial and error.

Wisdom becomes a part of who we are — it comes from our heart. Then, we can speak it with authority. We can speak it in love. We can encourage others to begin or revive their wisdom journeys.

We can be the voice of truth — of light — in the darkness of evil.

Think about it, my friends, we can be emissaries of our Heavenly Father’s wisdom. Be His words of truth to a world that doesn’t know how or refuses to seek Him! And, who knows who His truth can impact. It impacted us.

May we speak wisdom wisely, my friends.
