Daily Word: Do You Feel Awesomely Made? Psalm 139:13-14, TLV

For You have created my conscience.
You knit me together in my mother’s womb.
I praise You, for I am awesomely, wonderfully made!
Wonderful are Your works—and my soul knows that very well. Psalm 139:13-14, TLV

Do You Feel Awesomely Made?   Sometimes I do — sometimes I don’t, other times, it’s meh. Perhaps the difference in how we may feel is because we are looking at our flaws and comparing ourselves to others, rather than praising our Maker and Father.

We live in a world with filter apps and special effects that present a false appearance. Physical perfection is not a reality on this earth — only when we’re in our resurrected bodies.

The miracle of a child — any child — is awe inspiring. It’s the closest to true creation — something from nothing — that we’ll ever witness on this planet. Which is why every child should be cherished.

Your eyes saw me when I was unformed,
and in Your book were written the days that were formed—
when not one of them had come to be. (vs.16, TLV)

Every breath we breathe our Father sees — He saw us before we were formed. From the beginning of humanity’s time, He saw us. In Him, our life has meaning and joy. When He sees us, He sees what we will one day be.

Despite the corruption of this world and even our own flesh, miracles happen every day. Miracles worthy of praise, even if it’s simply waking up and rolling out of bed.

Since my mother’s diagnosis, I realize how precious each moment is while she is here. Her days are seen by a loving Heavenly Father and written in His book. Because He loves her. I’d like to think there are hearts and smiley faces written on those pages.

No matter what we’re feeling, or what age we are, or what we think we lack, we are awesome because He created us and loves us.  Take that hug and enjoy it.
