You are from God, children, and you have overcome them, because greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world. 1 John 4:4, TLV

Ever Since the Garden?   Let’s face it, things are getting real out there. Real bad. And it can feel scary that many of the values we hold so dear are considered laughable, antiquated, even wrong. Likewise, when we uncover deep-seeded sins like racism, injustice, and immorality, the world wants us to ignore them—or worse, tell us it’s not real.

In many ways, it may feel like the enemy of our soul has begun turning God’s beautiful world upside down.

Here’s something to think about . . .

Here’s something to think about, this enemy has been at work corrupting, robbing, stealing, and destroying for a long, long, long time. Since the Garden. And know this, that once the Creator of the Universe decided to create the universe, He knew this day, our world would come to this. He is not surprised to see these times. Saddened, sure. But not surprised.

Does that mean we say, “Oh well. We’re just waiting for Jesus to take us away from all this.”? Can I give an emphatic, NO!

When we lean in that direction then we clearly have not paid attention to GOD’s word. His words about sacrifice, defending the weak, fighting for justice, pointing out injustice, having integrity. From Genesis to the Revelation, it is clear we are not to give up.

Better a little with righteousness than much income without justice. Proverbs 16:8, TLV

The enemy of our souls is out to prove that our Heavenly Father will not have redeemed children from this generation or those to come by His side. The evil one wants us all.

So as bad as circumstances are and will get, He is greater. And, spoiler alert, our Heavenly Father wins.

Shabbat shalom.
