You keep in perfect peace
one whose mind is stayed on You,
because he trusts in You. Isaiah 26:3, TLV

This is a song. A song of triumph. Isaiah is prophesying of a coming day when the Jewish people will sing — and learn — from this song. At long last, the oppressed will be lifted up by El Elyon [GOD Most High].

My soul longs for You at night,
yes, my spirit within me seeks You.
For when Your judgments are in the earth,
the inhabitants of the world learn righteousness. (vs. 9, TLV)

It will be our longing for Him that helps us see — to use discernment. When we seek Him, we can watch for His hand in the earth. Not to condemn, or try to figure out, but to comfort with the understanding of redemption from sin. To plant seeds of the Good News.

So, when GOD’s judgments are in the earth, our mind will not only be at peace — because we focus on Him — but it is an opportunity to be His hands and feet for the harvest.

Chag Semeach Sukkot.
