Trust in ADONAI forever,
for the LORD ADONAI is a Rock of ages. Isaiah 26:4, TLV

Trust in the LORD forever. Forever. What does that even look like? Our finite minds might try, but because our brains are finite, well, you know. So when Isaiah exhorts his brothers and sisters, his country, to trust ADONAI forever, you have to wonder. As a prophet has the LORD given him insights into eternity?

What would that be like? We look up into the heavens, use high-powered telescopes, apply mathematical equations, and still, we can’t conceive of the expanse of space — and that’s merely a creation of ADONAI.

Yet, as redeemed children of the Most High GOD, eternity is within us.

He has made everything beautiful in its time. Moreover, He has set eternity in their heart—yet without the possibility that humankind can ever discover the work that God has done from the beginning to the end. Ecclesiastes 3:11, TLV [Emphasis Mine]

We may not understand all our Father’s ways, but we work to remember to trust in the LORD forever. How? Because of the work of His Son, He has given us eternity with Him. And we don’t need a high-powered telescope or equation for that.

Shabbat shalom!
