Daily Word: We’re Living Letters. 2 Corinthians 3:17

Now the Lord is the Spirit and where the Ruach ADONAI [Spirit of the LORD] is, there is freedom.  2 Corinthians 3:17, TLV

We’re Living Letters.  This chapter is so beautiful. Poetic. Alive with verses tying together prophetic words with Paul’s letter like a shiny bow.

You are our letter, written on our hearts, known and read by everyone. It is clear that you are a letter from Messiah delivered by us—written not with ink but with the Ruach of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of human hearts. (vss. 2-3, TLV)

Does this verse remind you of another significant passage—the prophecy of the New Covenant?

“But this is the covenant I will make with the house of Israel after those days”—it is a declaration of ADONAI—“I will put My Torah within them. Yes, I will write it on their heart. I will be their God and they will be My people.” Jeremiah 31:32, TLV

I could meditate on these words for days and days because there is so much here.

His living letters

That’s what we want to be, living, breathing, walking letters from our Messiah, right? Yeshua died so that the longing of His Father could be fulfilled within His redeemed children. We’re the evidence of Freedom. Freedom given generously by the Spirit of the LORD! Halleluyah!

What does our “letter” tell others? Does it demonstrate by word and deed the love of the Father? His freedom? Does it model the life of His Son? Let us be those beautiful missives written by the Spirit of the living GOD. Amen!
