Is your path clear?

TODAY’S PROVERB: So you will walk in the way of good men and keep to the paths of the righteous. Proverbs 2:20

Day two of 2019 and guess what I’m thinking about? That day. Do you know the one? The day I look my Savior in the eyes–after a long embrace, of course.

Then, I hope He says to me, “Well done, good and faithful servant! You were faithful with a little, so I’ll put you in charge of much.” (Matthew 25:21; Luke 19: 17).

That every sacrifice, every wise, but difficult decision, every tear, every prayer will have been worth it to see Jesus, and see Him smile. Doing all those things didn’t earn me entrance into an eternity with my Heavenly Father, Yeshua did that.

But, the idea of my actions honoring Him with more than a thank you. My life demonstrated His love. To the best of my ability–flawed with my sinful nature and frailty–I lived a redeemed life covered by His blood. I took those “talents” He gave me and made the most of them by walking in righteousness and wisdom.

Imagining that moment motivates me to continue walking, climbing, pressing on the narrow, sometimes lonely path of righteousness. What motivates you?

May we walk in the way of good men and women, and keep to the path of righteousness, my friends.
