Wisdom’s Journey: Proverbs 13:25

Terri GillespieWisdom’s Journey Through Proverbs

What do you crave?

TODAY’S PROVERB: The righteous eats to his heart’s content, but the belly of the wicked goes hungry. Proverbs 13:25

What do we crave? Wealth? Peace? Possessions? Health? Power? Love? Fame? Honor? Justice? Mercy? As we think about our goals for 2019, how do they measure in comparison to what God wants for us? Do we know what God wants for us?

As believers in Jesus –Yeshua, the Messiah to the world — we are built to not only produce, but crave the fruits of the Spirit:

But the fruit of the Ruach [Spirit] is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control—against such things there is no law.  Galatians 5:22

These fruits we can eat to our heart’s content.

Everyone, I believe, came into this world with a missing piece to our soul. A piece that when filled, changes our destiny. It’s like a keyhole that unlocks our true identity — our God-given destiny.

Without unlocking that door, our life is spent wandering the world, creating the best life we know how based on circumstances and earthy desires. Always hungry for something we can’t identify. Craving but never satisfied.

The same applies to those who have unlocked the door, but, for whatever reason have yet to walk through to their destiny. They’re stuck outside — close, yet so far.

When the Holy Spirit unlocks our door — and we walk through –He opens the eyes of our heart to new vistas in God’s Kingdom where there is plenty for all.

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Yeshua the Messiah, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Messiah. Ephesians 1:3

Why wouldn’t we want to share this key with others? Share the wealth that all can partake of? Where no one goes hungry for the things of God? How amazing is that?

May we eat to our heart’s content, my friends.
